Our mission
The purpose of My Local Painter is to connect UK homeowners with skilled and qualified local painters and decorators.
We want to emphasize these two words: SKILLED and QUALIFIED.
A lot of the well-known ‘find a tradesmen’ platforms started out with good intentions, but over the years they have lost focus on what really matters.
Satisfy both homeowners AND tradesmen
Professional tradesmen are often the ones who end up holding the short end of the stick.
Where consumers can post their jobs for free, the tradesmen need to pay to see the customers’ contact details.
The issue that many painters and decorators are facing is that they have to compete solely on price with rogue painters who don’t have overhead costs like staff, insurance, VAT or corporation taxes. Not only is this unfair but also not sustainable. This only causes a race to the bottom where there are no winners.
Professional painters and decorators will leave those platforms because they have to pay for leads that are just not worth their time.
With skilled professionals leaving those platforms, homeowners will be affected as well.
